Talent Placement
Placed by people who do the work
Tech Citadels Solutions places engineers and designers into client teams, in four arrangements depending on who needs to hold the reins. Because the same firm delivers projects, candidates are assessed by practitioners rather than screened against keywords.
Embedded engineers
A Tech Citadels engineer joins the client team for the length of an engagement, working in their tools and their standups. The same forward deployed model used on delivery work, offered on its own.
Contract and staff augmentation
Engineers placed into a client team on a time basis and directed day to day by the client, to cover a gap, a peak, or a skill the team does not have in house.
Permanent placement
Sourcing and assessing engineers who join the client payroll directly. Candidates are screened by people who do the work, so the technical assessment is a real one.
Managed squads
A complete team delivered as a unit and managed by Tech Citadels against agreed outcomes, for clients who want the capacity without taking on the management of it.
Disciplines
The people we place
The same disciplines Tech Citadels Solutions delivers with, which is why every assessment is done by someone who would have to work alongside the candidate.
Backend, infrastructure and DevOps
Platform and site reliability engineers, cloud architects, and the people who own CI/CD and production. Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure as code, observability, incident response.
Full-stack and front-end
Application engineers building and maintaining the interfaces a business runs on, and the APIs behind them. React and TypeScript, design systems, accessibility, performance.
Data and AI
Data platform and pipeline engineers, and the people who integrate models into working software. Warehousing, streaming, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation.
Security
Engineers who harden systems rather than only audit them. Threat modelling, identity and access, hardening, monitoring, and the evidence a compliance regime asks for.
UX and product design
Designers who work in the same repository as the engineers building the thing. Research, interaction and interface design, design systems, and accessibility treated as a requirement rather than an audit at the end.
How It Works
Three steps, no shortlist by keyword
Scope the role
A conversation about what the team is actually missing, which is often not what the job description says. The output is a role and a shape of engagement, not a shortlist.
Assess technically
Candidates are put in front of practitioners in their own discipline, and assessed on the problems the role will actually involve rather than on keywords in a CV.
Place and follow through
Introductions, onboarding into the client environment, and a check that the placement is working once the person is in the team rather than at the point of invoice.
